talonTransTalon Energy Services and its member companies place the utmost priority on the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) aspects of its operations. Our goal is no harm to person, environment and/or property.

At Talon Energy Services, all employees and sub-contractors are responsible for adhering to all legislative requirements in addition to our internal policies and procedures(including client requirements). To ensure all standards are met, Talon continuously monitors its operations through auditing, surveillance, and client/employee feedback. Talon Energy Services’ Corporate HSEQ Manager as well as site specific HSE teams, managers and supervisors assist in ensuring all requirements are adhered and continuously improve by utilizing lessons learned.

Talon is designated with a Certificate of Recognition (COR) in the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador and has implemented a safety program under PRIME with Workplace Health, Safety, and Compensation Commission (WHSCC). As well, Talon has achieved CanQual contractor approved status and is registered and approved with several major oil & gas clients with ISNET including Nexen, Cenovus Energy, Opti Canada, Shell Oilsands, Enbridge Pipelines, and Canadian Natural Resources (CNRL).

Talon will implement a new training management system starting in 2015 called Talon University. This program will cover a wide variety of internal training modules (including HSE essentials) for all employees. This program will provide more effective training to employees since it is based on their functional duties.

talonWhitePic108Talon Energy Services and its member companies are committed to achieving the highest quality standards in an effort to meet and/or exceed client expectations. Talon operates under a Quality Management System that is compliant to ISO 9001:2008.

Through ongoing construction projects, Talon has obtained its Certificate of Authorization Permit from the Alberta Safety Boiler Association (ABSA) and Service NL.

Talon has the ability to complete welding on both Piping and Structural components through previously qualified procedures with ABSA, Service NL and CWB. Our welding procedures cover a wide variety of welding processes as well as materials (i.e. carbon steel, stainless steel, exotics such as duplex, super duplex, titanium, etc.). In addition, under the Talon Group of Companies, we are certified to CSA W47.1S, CSA W47.2 and CSA W186.

Talon has retained Welding Engineers and full time Welding Supervisors to support its procedure development and field operations. In addition, Talon has quality representatives at each location to audit and monitor to ensure all requirements are achieved or exceeded.
